"Main Characters and their Ranks in RRLITP"

Hey there, Glad to be back again :)

In this blog, the protagonists and their ranks will be explained so that you will not be thrown off when you watch the real drama (like I was). The picture of the characters will be given as well :))

RANKS OF WOMEN IN THE HAREM

RRLITP is a historical drama there are numerous ranks of the harem women, those ranks are listed from the top rank to the bottom most rank.

Empress (Huang Hou) —> IMPERIAL NOBLE CONSORT [HUANG GUI-FEI] —> NOBLE CONSORT [gUI-FEI] —> consort [FEI] —> Noble lady [Gui-ren] —> FIRST FEMALE ATTENDANT [CHANG-ZAI] —> SECOND FEMALE ATTENDANT [DA-YING]

MAIN PROTAGONISTS

1. Qing Ying [Ruyi] 

She is the niece of the empress and a childhood friend of Hong Li, the future emperor Qianlong. She later marries Hong Li as his Ci Fujin (secondary wife) and deeply loves him. She is close friends with Hailan [Yu Fei], Luyun [Chun Guifei]. 

She belongs to the Ula Nara clan.

Lady Ula-Nara (Qing Ying) → Secondary Consort (Ci Fujin) → Consort Xian (Xian Fe) → Noble Lady Xian (Xian Guiren) → Commoner (Shuren) → Consort Xian (Xian Fe)→ Noble Consort Xian (Xian Guifei) → Imperial Noble Consort (Huang Guifei) → The Step Empress (Huanghou).

 

2. Aisin-Gioro Hongli Qianlong Emperor]

He is the son of the Yongzheng Emperor and the 4th prince of the Qing dynasty. He becomes the Qianlong Emperor after his father's death. He marries Ruyi as his second wife. He is an easily suspicious person, but loves Ruyi deeply. 

He belongs to the Aisin-Gioro clan.

Fourth prince (Hongli) → Prince Bao of First Rank (Bao Wang) → Fourth Emperor of Qing Dynasty (Qianlong Emperor) →  Retired Emperor

 

3. Niohuru Zhenhuan [Queen Dowager]

She is the adoptive mother of Hong Li, Qianlong Emperor. She hated Ruyi's aunt, the previous empress and hence hated Ruyi as well. But she later begins to understand and respect Ruyi and helps her at many occasions. She sends several  women to her son's side to balance her power in the harem and to make them influence his decisions to her advantage. 

She belongs to the Niohuru Clan.

 4.  Keliyete Hailan [Consort Yu]

 A former embroidery maid at the 4rth prince's residence, Hailan was taken advantage of by Hongli on an occasion of being drunk. She enter his Harem with Ruyi's help. Hailan is deeply loyal to Ruyi and she shares a deep sense of sisterhood with her. She has a son Yongqi with the emperor who is adopted by Ruyi. 

She belongs to the Keliyete clan.

5. Ling Yunche [Imperial Guard]

An imperial guard that helped Ruyi survive the Cold Palace. He first met Ruyi and her maid at The Cold Palace. As a thanks for helping her, Ruyi helped him rise in the ranks as a guard. However, Ruyi and Ling Yunche's close relationship makes Qianlong Emperor jealous.
